
Fionn Parker is a BCL candidate at the University of Oxford. He graduated from the Australian National University in 2024 with a First-Class Honours Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Politics, Philosophy, and Economics. His research focuses on applied political and legal theory, examining how democratic institutions can be structured to improve effectiveness and legitimacy. He has published on international conflict, judicial normativity, and education, among other themes.
Fionn has experience in policy research, analysis, and reform advocacy across academic, activist, and private professional contexts, and has supported constitutional litigation and legal advice at the Australian Government Solicitor. He runs a successful boutique private tutoring business and was the editor of the Amazon bestseller ‘Catch Up With Top Achievers: 2020 HSC and Beyond.’
In his spare time, he enjoys travelling, photography, and writing free-verse lyric poetry with central subjects of transience, beauty, nature and human connection. If you cannot find him, he is likely outside exercising, playing cricket, doing yoga, or hiding in the corner of the library with a good book.
